In January 2020, the world ’s crude steel output from 64 countries included in the World Steel Association ’s statistics was 154.4 million tons, an increase of 2.1% year-on-year.
China's crude steel output in January 2020 was 84.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%. India ’s crude steel output in January was 9.3 million tonnes, a 3.2% decrease year-on-year. Japan ’s crude steel output in January was 8.2 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.3%. South Korea ’s January crude steel output was 5.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.0%.
European Union countries, Italy ’s crude steel output in January 2020 was 1.9 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.9%; France ’s January crude steel output was 1.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%.
The United States produced 7.7 million tons of crude steel in January 2020, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%.
Brazil's crude steel output in January 2020 was 2.7 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.1%.
Turkey's crude steel output in January 2020 was 3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%.
Ukraine's crude steel output in January 2020 was 1.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.4%.
