Summary
In October 2019, the world ’s crude steel output from 64 countries included in the World Steel Association ’s statistics was 151.5 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.8%.
China ’s crude steel output in October 2019 was 81.5 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.6%. India ’s crude steel output in October was 9.1 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.4%. Japan ’s crude steel output in October was 8.2 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.9%. South Korea ’s crude steel output in October was 6 million tons, down 3.5% year-on-year.
In the European Union, Germany ’s crude steel output in October was 3.3 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.8%. Italy ’s crude steel output in October was 2.2 million tons, down 3.7% year-on-year; France ’s October crude steel output was 1.2 million tons, down 10.6% year-on-year; Spain ’s October crude steel output was 1.2 million tons, down 7.6% year-on-year.
