According to data released recently by the Korea Iron andSteel Association, in November, Korean ordinary billet exports and importsincreased month-on-month and year-on-year. Among them, the export volume was3,865 tons, a year-on-year increase of 126.6%, down 82.3% year-on-year; theimport volume was 33,700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.6%, a year-on-yeardecrease of 29.6%.
From January to November, the export volume of ordinarybillet in South Korea was about 171,600 tons, a substantial increaseyear-on-year; the import volume reached 427,700 tons, down 32.7% year-on-year. InNovember, the average import price of carbon billet in South Korea wasUS$543/ton, up by US$18/ton from the previous month. Among them, the price ofcarbon billet imported from Japan by South Korea is 549 US dollars / ton, andthe price imported from Russia is 530 US dollars / ton.
