The Turkish Steel Exporters' Association (CIB) said in earlyOctober that Turkey's exports of steel products in the first nine months ofthis year increased by 12.5% year-on-year to 11.4 million tons, and exportsamounted to US$11 billion, up 34% year-on-year.
In September, the export volume of Turkish steel products was2 million tons, nearly doubled year-on-year; the steel exports in the monthreached 1.4 billion US dollars, up 94.9% year-on-year.
Adnan Aslan, president of the Turkish Steel Exporters Association,said that structural steel for construction is the country's main steel exportproduct. "From January to September, construction steel exports rose 2.9%year-on-year to 4.24 million tons, and exports surged 31% to $2.34billion."
