In the week ending June 30, 2018, the domestic domestic crudesteel output was 1.78 million short tons, and the capacity utilization rate was76%. In the same period last year, the output was 1.747 million short tons, andthe capacity utilization rate was 74.9%. Crude steel production rose by 1.9%year-on-year and rose by 0.5% on a week-on-week basis. In the week ending June 23, 2018, the domestic domestic crudesteel output was 1.772 million short tons, and the capacity utilization ratewas 75.6%.
After adjustment, by June 30, 2018, the cumulative crudesteel output in the United States was 45.514 million short tons, the capacityutilization rate was 75.5%, and the cumulative crude steel output rose by 1.7%.In the same period of 2017, it was 44.439 million short tons and 74.4%.
The weekly crude steeloutput was divided into regions, with 215,000 short tons in the northeastregion, 653,000 short tons in the Great Lakes region, 187,000 short tons in thecentral and western regions, 652,000 short tons in the south and 74,000 shorttons in the west, totaling 17.81 million short tons.
