SAIL and South Korea's Pohang signed a technical service agreement

Recently, the Indian Iron and Steel Authority (SAIL) signed a technical service agreement with South Korea's POSCO, which provides a range of production and equipment maintenance to its IISCO steel mill (ISP) in Burnpur, West Bengal Latest technology to enable efficient production at its modern IISCO mills.
IISCO steel mills after modernization, the new wire rod production line (annual production capacity 550,000 tons) is also about to put into operation. To tie in with this production line, POSCO will provide SAIL with know-how in coking, ironmaking, steelmaking, continuous casting and wire rod production and maintenance of production lines to help ISCO steel mills reach their production rates as soon as possible.
After the new wire rod production line is put into production, it can produce high quality special steel wire rod to meet the demand of the domestic and international markets in India. Stakeholders said that in Pohang Iron and steel technical assistance, IISCO steel mill new wire rod production line can not only speed up production, but also give full play to its production potential.
