Latin American countries imported Chinese steel in the first quarter, an increase of 8%

The day before the announcement of Latin American Iron and Steel Association data show that in 2017 a quarter of Latin American countries from Chinese steel imports (3279, 21, 0.64%) 1 million 900 thousand tons, an increase of 8%. Sub national and regional point of view, in the first quarter of this year, Chile imported 349 thousand tons of Chinese steel, an increase of 36%; Central American countries to import 384 thousand tons of Chinese steel, down 2%. Sub varieties, in the first quarter, Latin American countries imported 1 million 200 thousand tons of plates from China, accounting for 63% of China's total imports of steel; imports of 420 thousand tons of long wood, accounting for 22%; imports of seamless steel pipe 62 thousand tons, accounting for 3%.
