World crude steel production increased by 4.1% in February
According to the latest statistics of the world iron and SteelAssociation of 67 member economies, in February the world's crude steelproduction was 1.266 tons, an increase of 4.1%. It should be noted that thereare 29 days in 2016 of February.
The world's largest producer of crude steel in China in Februarywas 61 million 200 thousand tons, an increase of 4.6%. Other Asian countries,Japan's crude steel production was 8 million 340 thousand tons, down by 0.1%.India production of 8 million 113 thousand tons, an increase of 8.9%. SouthKorea's output was 5 million 508 thousand tons, an increase of 8.3%.
EU countries, Germany's crude steel production was 3 million 453thousand tons, an increase of 2.6%. Italy production of 1 million 973 thousandtons, an increase of 1.2%. French production was 1 million 240 thousand tons,down by 5.8%. Spain's output was 1 million 87 thousand tons, down by 4.6%.
Turkey production of 2 million 739 thousand tons, an increase of15.6%.
Russian production was 5 million 585 thousand tons, down by0.3%. Ukraine production was 1 million 900 thousand tons, down by 3.6%.Kazakhstan production of 360 thousand tons, an increase of 26.3%.
U.S. production was 6 million 362 thousand tons, down by 1%.Mexico production of 1 million 530 thousand tons, an increase of 7%.
Brazil production of 2 million 572 thousand tons, an increase of5.7%. But other countries in South America have fallen sharply.
67 member economies capacity utilization was 70.3%, an increaseof 4 percentage points, an increase of 1.1 percentage points.
