In the week ending October 20, 2018, the domestic domesticcrude steel output was 1.875 million short tons, and the capacity utilizationrate was 80%. In the same period last year, the output was 1.705 million shorttons, and the capacity utilization rate was 73.2%. Crude steel output rose 10%year-on-year and fell 0.3% on a week-on-week basis. In the week ending October13, 2018, the domestic domestic crude steel output was 1.881 million shorttons, and the capacity utilization rate was 80.2%.


After adjustment, by October 20, 2018, the cumulative crudesteel output in the United States was 76.076 million short tons, the capacityutilization rate was 77.7%, and the cumulative crude steel output rose 4.9%year-on-year. In the same period of 2017, it was 72.524 million short tons and74.3%.


 The weekly crude steel output was divided into 222,000 shorttons in the northeast region, 685,000 short tons in the Great Lakes region,197,000 short tons in the central and western regions, 687,000 short tons inthe south and 8.4 short tons in the west, totaling 1.875 million short tons.
